ABSTRACT

Malaysia at the Forefront of Global Halal Industry Development

Malaysia charted the path for the development of the halal industry more than 40 years ago with measures and initiatives intensified to further accelerate its growth. This comprehensive eco-system supports the development of halal-related initiatives.

The Halal Malaysia Week in Dubai will be a convergence point for global stakeholders and professionals from all over the world to discuss, share and deliberate matters within the halal ecosystem and also providing platform for businesses to explore partnership and collaboration in the Halal ecosystem.


WHAT TO EXPECT :

The programme organised within the week will be divided into 2 areas, which are:

  • HDC: Halal Thought Leadership – World Halal Economic Forum 2021, Digital Augmented/ Virtual Reality Showcase of Halal Malaysia (DASH), Roundtable Dialogue, Pocket talk
  • MATRADE: Business meetings, pitching sessions and visits to the relevant sourcing houses.

The Digital Augmented Reality Showcase of Halal Malaysia or DASH platform is a combination of AR-enabled and Interactive Monitor/Kiosk and easily mobilised via the Plug-n-Play concept. Through this integrated digital platform, we are able to accommodate Malaysian halal companies to showcase their products and services seamlessly at the domestic and international markets. Hence, companies’ key information, products and services will be shown interactively via Augmented Reality (AR) in 2D and 3D formats as well as videos. Furthermore, DASH is not limited to a one-time off international showcase but is a continuous alternative to physical presence at various global events.

The participation in this event will be a vital stepping stone for Malaysia to showcase our country’s capability in the Halal industry to the world through digital ecosystem whilst at the same time position Malaysia as an international Halal Economy Enabler.
